Bodies of Culture Presents Sunday Sounds Vol. 2 at Levitt Pavilion on September 15th

Denver, CO – Bodies of Culture (BOC) is excited to announce the return of its annual music series Sunday Sounds Vol. 2, a diverse celebration of live music and art taking place on September 15th at Levitt Pavilion. This free, all-ages event promises an afternoon of exceptional performances from young artists participating in the first-ever BOC mentorship program and an impressive lineup of local artists that showcases the best in musical talent that Colorado has to offer.

The Mentorship Program at Bodies of Culture is an initiative committed to empowering BIPOC youth in the music industry. This program fosters meaningful connections between emerging young creatives with experienced BIPOC artists and industry professionals. Through personalized one-on-one mentorship, participants gain valuable insights, guidance, and a profound sense of belonging within the local music community. The program structure centers around monthly one-on-one sessions between mentors and mentees, catering to virtual or in-person interactions based on individual preferences. These sessions encompass dynamic discussions, skill-sharing, feedback on creative work, and goal tracking.

Sunday Sound Vol. 2 will feature an eclectic lineup of performers, with genres ranging from indie and rock to electronic and hip-hop. Attendees can look forward to Colorado Springs-based headlining act The Reminders, a conscious hip-hop duo bringing activism and music to the stage. Continuing the showcase’s stellar lineup are Kayla Marque, Regi and Michael of DOGTAGS, Melissa Ivey, Miguel Aviña of iZCALLi, and DCI Tour, a collective specializing in art-based workshops that heal the soul through enriching experiences.
