Tula is a five piece progressive funk rock-band based in Denver. Tula was first formed in Chicago by frontman Brian Duggan as the Brian Duggan Project in 2008. That was a horrible name for a group of amazing musicians, so a new name was given to this idea of rotating "cast members"...and Tula was born! After touring and performing in the Midwest for a few years with a rotating cast of killer musicians, Duggan re-rooted the band to Denver and formed a permanent cast of musicians that makes up present day Tula.
The group's unique style brings a refreshingly diverse sound to the traditional jam band setup. Their live shows bring even the most reserved attendees to the dance floor as they infuse a variety of genres - from trance, to progressive rock, funk, disco more.
Recorded at Color Red with Producer/Musician Eddie Roberts (New Mastersounds), Tula's 2nd studio album is nearly complete. And another big announcement is on the way - Thursday, April 29th on Levitt in Your Living Room!
